Carlos and Gerardo’s wedding at Herdade do Freixo, in the heart of Alentejo, and 40 meters below the ground, was an exploration of the unexpected. Guided by two bold principles: the raw, sterile effect of steel, and the strange beauty of aquatic, carnivorous, and tropical plants. The day unfolded as an immersive artistic experience rather than a traditional celebration.

Together with Tales, we envisioned a concept that blurred the lines between nature and futurism, crafting moments that challenged perception and engaged the senses. The ceremony embraced shadows and white noise, creating a sculptural atmosphere where light and sound became a living artwork, welcoming each guest. The cocktail introduced the couple’s favourite flora, carnivorous plants, transforming the space into a surreal installation where nature’s monstrous forms invited discovery and reflection. Finally, the dinner embraced minimalism infused with a brutalist sensibility, where steel structures intertwined with aquatic and carnivorous plants, turning the table into a stage for an extraordinary dialogue between material and life.

Every detail, from the design to the flow of the day, was conceived as a work of art, leaving guests not just witnesses but participants in a living gallery. It was more than a wedding; it was a curated experience, a celebration of identity, and a testament to the transformative power of art.
